Leidos is seeking an experienced and results-driven individual to be a Associate Director within our Strategic Alliances team. In this role, you will lead a team of category managers at the enterprise level while also overseeing the logistics category. You will join a dynamic team that builds partnerships with key suppliers to drive the overall business strategies. Our goal is to deliver exceptional service and value to Leidos with our high-performing, innovative supplier base which leverages our enterprise buying power.

Primary Responsibilities

Successful candidate will have strong background in supply chain management and logistics, with a proven track record of optimizing processes, managing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and being a dynamic people leader. In this role you will lead the team in developing new categories, processes, standards or operational plans in support of the categories supported, while also doing the same over the logistics category personally.

 You will apply your expertise to identify ways to drive differentiation to support growth opportunities and to meet customer requirements. Your team will look to you for new and creative ideas to solve the complex problems and issues faced within our operating environment. Leidos executives, including the CEO, will look to you as their primary point of contact for all matters related to your assigned area.

Basic Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • 8+ or more years of experience in areas of procurement, category management, supplier management, supply chain, or other relevant areas
  • 5+ years of demonstrated logistics management
  • 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in logistics management software and tools
  • Experience setting up and managing/evaluating freight, freight forwarder, and 3PL contracts both for domestic and international coverage
  • Demonstrated history of developing solutions to meet program requirements
  • Experience collaborating with multiple organizations to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, cross functional collaboration and goal planning and execution

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with implementing/leveraging best in class logistics/transportation management software and tools, including TMS and routing systems, to drive network efficiencies.
  • History of managing Category Management within a large enterprise environment
  • Understanding of Truckload, LTL, Parcel, including dedicated fleets, ocean imports.
  • Familiarity with government contracting or experience with federal systems integrators
  • Demonstrated history of providing measurable input to new solutions, processes or standards in order to achieve functional/project objectives.
  • Experience in drafting proposal volumes, press releases, newsletters, general articles, podcasts, videos, and others to engage with customers
  • Experience in creating or reviewing corporate policies, program manuals, or general guidelines
  • Experience with implementing/leveraging best in class logistics/transportation management software and tools, including TMS and routing systems, to drive network efficiencies.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00
