About the role:

We’re recruiting for an Business Performance Senior Manager to oversee the strategic agenda and drive activities against the implementation of the strategy, planning and operations, financial management and risk management for Global Technology Services (GTS) but may also be required to work with the Technology Leadership Team (TLT).

Responsibilities:

You will play an exciting and challenging role in driving and contributing to strategy, planning and operations, finance, risk, and workforce across crews and domains.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive governance reporting requirements including milestones, financials, benefits and risks; deep dive into the analytics and provide meaningful insights to drive business decisions.​

  • Track metrics against stated objectives and key results; leverage data driven insights to inform continuous improvement opportunities.​

  • Oversee workforce and financial management activity via forecasts, budgets, actuals and reconciliation.

  • Lead the development of centralised operational procedures and tools are streamlined and consistent across all teams including key performance indicators, regulatory delivery and strategic planning.​

  • Act as a conduit across teams to ensure information flow, commitments can be delivered and escalation of risks and issues.​

  • Work with leadership to develop and drive business commitments and outcomes.​

  • Manage high complexity and change, solve problems, manage senior stakeholder relationships and operate with an enterprise mindset.​

  • Provide people leadership and management where relevant and contribute to the capability uplift of others.​

  • Identify actions and interventions for escalation and conduct initiative deep dives.​

  • Develop a deep understanding of Group Technology strategies and priorities to support the Technology Risk Steward delegate and EGM Global Technology Services.

  • Provide commercial, value-added and insightful advice to the Technology Risk Appetite Statement (RAS).

  • Work with Control Owners to address queries.

  • Attend RAS monthly meetings to ensure commentary is to board level standard

  • Working closely with technology leads to collate and review RAS metrics

  • Driving continuous improvement of the RAS metrics report

  • Support Business Units in assessing their model risks and control environment, ensuring each BU LT to operate within their Risk appetite.

  • Policy Liaison for the IT Service Management Policy Suite

  • Support the Technology Chief Controls Office on maintaining all Policies, Standards and Procedures within the IT Service Management Policy Suite

  • Attend the Technology Policy Governance Working Group

  • Supporting, facilitating and leading Technology leads for input for RAS and Risk Management Declaration (RMD) Board Reporting.

  • Supporting ‘deep dives’ for the RMD Annual Assessment.

  • Reporting for Non-Financial Risk Committees (NFRC) or other risk reporting as needed.

  • Building strong working relationships with Group functions, Line 1 risk and business stakeholders.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to connect meaningfully with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, technical and non‐technical

  • Ability to connect strategy to work to drive clarity on work and prioritisation

  • Ability to work with finance to analyse operating budgets across domains and crews

  • Ability to work with CTO performance on alignment on strategy, finance and workforce objectives

  • Risk Mindset: All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discusses and act on current and future risks

  • Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, including ability to interpret technology metrics to risk reporting commentary.

  • An understanding of the technology Risk landscape.

  • Knowledge of Technology Risk and Compliance Risk frameworks

  • The ability to meet objectives / targets and deliver in tight timeframes.

  • Reporting & analytical mindset with any risk reporting experience highly regarded.

  • The ability to interpret data sets including familiarity with dashboards and board reports.

  • A background in Risk and Compliance reporting, Technology consulting or Policy Management is preferred but not essential.
