Data Privacy Lead Analyst 

As a part of Citi’s Global Human Resources organization,  the HR Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for regulatory and policy requirements in the field of data governance, data privacy and records management for the Global Human Resources function.

What you’ll do

  • Provide data privacy advice and guidance to the HR functions, including identification and prioritization of key data privacy risks and vulnerabilities within the Human Resources.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization on reviews and audits on Data Privacy.
  • Review, assess and plan actions as new regulatory requirements develop globally in the privacy space, specifically concerning employee data.
  • Lead the implementation of the Global Standard Operating Procedures the team will follow to execute on the requests received.
  • Oversee request executions and provide reporting to stakeholders.
  • Escalate and socialize of risk events and issues across the Human Resources for any data privacy related items in line with Escalation Policy and procedures to ensure effective escalation and socialization.
  • Work with Global HR Regulatory management teams on all reviews and audits to ensure appropriate preparation, pre-review assessments and post-review remediation.
  • Ensure high quality execution for Data Privacy programs for any Citi initiated programs, in coordination with Global Risk and Control and the HR Regulatory Engagement teams.

What we’ll need from you

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience. 
  • Iapp Privacy Certification(s)
  • Demonstrates Data Privacy, Data Privacy Operations, Information Security or Cyber related risk management experience or minimum two years in an Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Control Management related role.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Working knowledge of Data Privacy Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and appropriate controls, ideally in the Workforce Management function. Additionally, familiarity with privacy related technology considerations such as cookies, mobile devices, biometric and geolocation data is desired
  • Risk-based thinking and analytical mindset with up-to-date understanding of key data privacy risk and control concepts, tools, and trends.
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, time management, and prioritize workload.
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects that include process and system/application changes. 
  • Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Proven ability to navigate complex data environments and drive data governance initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Bachelor’s/ University or master’s degree.
