As a Technical Project Manager within the Product Engineering organization focused on our Direct Tax products, you will play a critical role in ensuring successful delivery of complex projects that are aligned with the overall strategy for Thomson Reuters Corporates Tax & Trade business. You will work closely with stakeholders, understand their needs, identify risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them while managing project scope, timelines, and resources. Your expertise in technical project management, coupled with your ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously, makes you a valuable asset to our organization.

About the Role:


In your role as Technical Project Manager, you will: 

  • Coordinate with cross-functional software engineering teams, techops teams, enterprise security and cloud teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate the delivery of software projects consisting of multiple product features and spanning across multiple teams
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Execute delivery process so that the distributed resources can work as an effective, objective driven and collaborative global team.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the project team, ensuring that project goals and objectives were met within the agreed timeframe and budget
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors.
  • Schedule and lead project status meetings with stakeholders.
  • Use agile software development and project management methodologies

  • Ability to lead through influence, generating buy-in and action across the organization
  • Proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects
  • Thrive in ambiguity, are collaborative by nature and can create clarity through information gathering
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to forge consensus among competing constituents on critical and time sensitive issues.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical project management role or relevant role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have strong knowledge on software engineering processes and SDLC
  • Experience with scrum and project management tools like Azure dev ops
