Reporting to the Director of Mapping and Merchandising Superstores, the Sr. Analyst supports all floor mapping, database, and phasing deck management, merchandising execution, and signage organization within the store. They will support all floor initiatives, leads pocket guides & merch notes, program execution guides, sales updates, coordinate programs and maintains floor allocations templates. They will collaborate closely with business units, marketing, stores, promo, and allocations teams to ensure floor execution, sales optimization, cohesiveness & consistency of program execution.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the creation and distribution of “Pocket Guides” that will ensure strong store execution of all merchandising initiatives, mandates, and programs
  • Support all merchandising mapping databases, store/floor classifications, and WIP management
  • Responsible for all program Merchandising Execution Guides and Store Alerts
  • Responsible for all floor updates, coordinate with promo, category, and allocations teams
  • Work with signage team and integrate into pocket & execution guides
  • Responsible for floor sell-through and post-mortems reporting
  • Monitor the performance of programs by running and analyzing various reports
  • Generates sales and data analysis for floor/availability optimization
  • Act as an integration point between the Business Units, Marketing and Operations
  • Responsible for floor allocation templates, maintain and communicate to the various team members
  • Develop/maintain various excel templates to improve floor and allocations efficiencies
  • Develop various PowerPoint presentations for various programs and initiatives
  • Monitor and communicate phasing deck execution progress to ensure deadlines are met, providing detailed explanations/reporting on any shortfalls.
  • Supports all business units in the coordination of programs for the pocket guide/merch notes
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Role Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education (business, marketing, retail, finance, economics)
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills (written and spoken)
  • Detail oriented, strong time management skills and ability to multi tasks and work independently
  • Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, V-lookup, advance formulas, macros, maintain/build excel programs
  • Intermediate MS PowerPoint & Publisher skills including creativity and attention to detail
  • Capability to support promotional initiatives aligned with corporate strategies
  • Good knowledge of promotions and merchandising programs within Superstore, an asset
  • Management experience in retail operations and/or merchandising, an asset
  • Entry level SQL knowledge, an asset
