This Associate Legal Counsel-Litigation will provide hands-on legal support and counsel to and work with business leaders, managers, and colleagues on legal issues impacting UMB and its subsidiaries.

How you will spend your time:

• Research and writing on legal issues.

• Assist with discovery in litigation matters.

• Draft dispute-related correspondence and other documents as necessary.

• Monitor litigation status and deadlines.

• Participate in projects and process improvements including assessing best practice, drafting updates, and reviewing for legal compliance.

• Prepare and distribute regular status reports; summarize trends and issues;

• Support in alternative decision-making situations, for a broad range of internal clients. 

• Works under the supervision of General Counsel or Senior Managing Counsel.

• Other duties as assigned.

We’re excited to talk with you if you have:

• JD and licensed to practice law.

• 1-3 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation

• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrates ability to research and advise on complicated legal issues.

• Westlaw and other legal research tools proficient

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $83,200.00 - Maximum: $214,560.00
