About the Role

An experienced Derivative Operations applicant who is versatile and can utilize existing skills to support and enhance the derivative operations function. Role requires flexibility and teamwork to support daily BAU tasks, produce MI, complete process and incident analysis, and support change, regulatory and new business initiatives and require liaison with both internal teams and external counterparties.

As a Manager / Senior Manager in Derivatives Operations at AIA, you will have the opportunity to be part of a world-class finance and insurance company that is dedicated to providing exceptional services to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the derivative operations function through various tasks such as trade booking, settlement, pricing, collateral management, and regulatory compliance. Your expertise and proven experience will be crucial in successfully implementing change, analyzing incidents, and supporting new business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Trade booking, settlement, master creation, closeout of trades, and pricing for various derivative instruments including FX Swap, IR Swap, IRS, Bond futures, and options.
  • Understand and manage collateral management processes and Collateral Dispute Management.
  • Reconcile and oversee pricing of derivative instruments.
  • Perform daily margin exchange and exception management.
  • Ensure accurate valuation and accounting of FX and derivative instruments in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure PL entries are computed accurately for the accounting of FX, FCY Derivatives in line with regulations
  • Manage cash transactions, trades, corporate actions, and reconciliations for derivative products.
  • Investigate and resolve trade break queries and analyze PNL impact.
  • Stay informed about current industry standards and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct analysis and generate reports for various individuals or groups involved.
  • Support Investment Services and provide derivative expertise.
  • Collaborate with team members to make informed decisions and create mutually beneficial outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in derivatives operations and life cycle management.
  • Familiarity with derivative products and current market trends.
  • Experience with system platforms such as Aladdin, Bloomberg AIM, Eagle, Calypso, Cassini.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
