The Principal Analyst, Workforce Analytics provides advanced level functional and technical expertise in researching, analyzing, designing, implementing HR analytics and reporting. The incumbent works on complex issues and utilizes knowledge and experience with human resource metrics and data analysis to identify needs and creates effective solutions to support business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Has wide-ranging experience, and uses professional concepts to help support Workforce Analytics needs.

  • Acts as subject matter expert and supports the business through the review and analysis of workforce related data.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Determines methods and procedures, including statistical and predictive modelling, on new assignments and makes recommendations on findings to leadership.

  • Leads the process of research, analysis and execution of workforce data and reports.

  • Drives rollout and implementation of applicable HR programs and solutions.

  • Partners with other Analysts and other members of Human Resources and the Operations teams.

  • Meets with HR leadership to discuss and clarify requests for projects, highlight issues, and make recommendations to address issues and priorities.

  • Ensures compliance with Data Privacy and Data Protection Guidelines.

  • Mentors other staff as applicable.

  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced Degree preferred.

  • 8 - 12 years' related experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years' experience; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.

  • SHRM Certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP) is desirable, or a plus.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (such as Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), database use, required. Experience with HRIS (such as PeopleSoft), preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency manipulating data to produce quantifiable results (e.g. pivot tables, charts, graphs).

  • Advanced proficiency using digital technology to research and locate information, preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency creating presentations or graphic reports, required.

  • Proven ability to work with large data sets from different systems and align analysis with business needs that ultimately tells a story for the end user on how to make meaningful data supported decisions.

  • Preferred experience with reporting and analytical tools and how to apply statistical models and predictive modeling

  • Advanced query writing skills, e.g. SQL, preferred.

  • Ability to appropriately plan and organize; administer and prioritize multiple projects and activities.

  • Basic project management skills.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must work well in a team environment.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in pursuing departmental responsibilities.

  • Ability to perform moderately complex research work.

  • Ability to build credibility within a large organization.

  • Previous experience with applicant tracking system (such as Taleo), preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact
