Position Summary:

ProFound Therapeutics is seeking an Oncology Project Leader to oversee, drive and co-ordinate our pre-clinical research projects in Oncology and Immuno-oncology.  The Oncology Project Leader will report into the role of Head of Oncology. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative fast-paced environment and will provide the hands-on work necessary to support the discovery and characterization of our innovative antibody and protein assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage our portfolio of oncology projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with and manage Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Characterize therapeutic and diagnostic proteins and antibodies, ensuring high quality and efficacy standards
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver compelling preclinical proof of concept, pharmacology, and mechanistic data packages for lead candidates
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Prepare project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners and vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (>10 years industrial experience) or Ph.D. or equivalent (>5 years industrial experience) in a relevant biotechnology field
  • Proven success in managing oncology projects and working with CROs.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic protein and antibody characterization
  • Proficiency in project management techniques and tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
