The Information Technology group provides enterprise-wide IT solutions for all of Corebridge Financial’ s specialized disciplines. Technology provides strategic and procedural support in all of Corebridge Financial’ s specialized disciplines, such as policy issuance, premium collection, claims handling, and administration. It enables Corebridge Financial to deliver business strategies through efficient world-class IT and operations services, while ensuring the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place.

The Sr. Business Analyst on the Individual Retirement IT Product team is responsible for building new products, analyze and define business requirements, and develop system specifications to solve business problems.

We want to hear from you today if you can:

  • Analyze and evaluate business needs and provides technical direction and recommendations to create or develop new system functionality.
  • Manage requirements scope and escalate any issues as appropriate.
  • Partner with business and development to document moderately complex business system requirements.
  • Research and analyze existing business processes and systems to formulate logical statements of business requirements.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solution for system design.
  • Participate in system projects.
  • Work on system projects that have complex functionality.
  • With assistance, take on projects with a broad scope, involving multiple systems.
  • Play an active role in the system development life cycle from design through implementation.
  • Review technical designs or specifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • 6+ years progressive experience analyzing and solving business problems through the development and implementation of business applications preferred.
  • Strong Analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of creating Business Requirements Documents, Functional Requirements Specs, User Stories and Use Case Diagrams.
  • Knowledge and experience of systems development life cycle (SDLC) with an understanding of Requirements Gathering, Process Workflows and Modelling.
  • Extensive knowledge of business analysis techniques/ tools.
  • Relationship management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the business unit’s functions and applications.
  • Knowledge of system and technology alternatives.
  • Experience with waterfall and/or agile methodologies - knowledge of both preferred.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 6+ of experience in analytics and systems development.
  • High proficiency with SQL and database.
  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.

For positions based in Woodland Hills, CA the base salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we're proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
