Summary of role:

 

The Senior Marketing Manager is a strategic and analytical role, with the responsibility of overseeing the marketing performance of several partnerships and programs. Working alongside Partnership Directors, who are accountable for the day-to-day planning and execution of marketing activities, the Senior Marketing Manager will ensure that effective, multichannel marketing plans, budget allocation and phasing are in place to deliver on annual performance targets and maximize return on investment.

 

This role will attend internal and external stakeholder-facing meetings to discuss marketing plans and programme performance. Therefore we require an experienced marketing strategist with a broad background who can develop sound marketing initiatives to attract learners effectively and efficiently.

 

The Senior Marketing Manager will be a lead of the international marketing team (today these roles are mainly in the UK and Australia) and the primary liaison with the global marketing agency for

non-North American markets. They will ensure budget allocations achieve against business expectations. This position reports to the Director, Performance Marketing in the Global Marketing team.

Responsibilities:

 Programme marketing planning and performance management

 

Planning

  • Develop a portfolio marketing approach across universities and help set budget by university This will be developed collaboratively with partner management and learner recruitment teams.
  • Articulate an annual marketing plan by partner to deliver on business targets and different campaign objectives.

 

Delivery

  • Oversee the efficiency and effectiveness in external agency deployment (briefing process, SLAs, quality and timeliness of output, performance management etc.)
  • Ensure all budget allocation and expenditure are sound, tracked and

 

Performance management and reporting

  • Ensure accurate, actionable, and timely performance analysis is regularly conducted for each online programme. Optimise underperforming programmes in a timely manner.

 

Stakeholder relationship management

  • Partners
    • Support Partnership Managers in managing University relationships
  • External agencies:
    • Create synergy and economies of scale across the different partnership marketing activities and facilitate an effective working relationship.
  • Internal stakeholders:
    • Ensure cross-functional insight sharing takes place in a productive

Marketing team leadership responsibilities

  • Identify common opportunities and challenges across partnerships to support the refinement of the overall marketing strategy.

Location

Office-based at our London or Harlow office preferred, with required travel to other Boundless Learning offices and University Partnership meetings.

 

Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • An undergraduate degree in marketing, or other professional marketing qualification
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, including experience in marketing strategy development and growth campaign management
  • Proven experience in planning multichannel marketing campaign, including paid advertising, SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, web development / management and offline marketing activities.
  • Proven experience in marketing performance tracking, analysis, and reporting
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of online reporting tools, CRM platforms as well as CMS highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in people management (Direct or indirect)
  • Proven experience in budget management
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) skills – ability to adapt communication style by audience and situation
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills – ability to engage the audience and to gain buy in
  • Strong relationship building, stakeholder management and influencing
  • Experience in facilitating discussions and workshops desirable, but not
  • Education and student recruitment marketing experience desirable, but not essential
  • Proficient in MS Office, with a special emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
