Reporting to the Senior VP of Operations, the Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee field service activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations, and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization, and delivering on the value proposition to our clients. Their duties include consulting with senior leadership to determine business goals or initiatives, visiting with Directors or Area Leaders to relay company needs, and reviewing operational data to make inferences about the organization’s success.

Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000

Bonus: Earn up to 25% of your annual salary

Travel: overnight travel up to 75% of time

Location: A strong preference will be placed on applicants in one of the following states: NC, SC, TN, MD, DC, VA, NJ, OH, IN, MI, PA, or NY, to support frequent travel within the designated territory.

Essential Duties:

  • Influence, implement and communicate the strategic direction of the field services organization.
  • Partner with the Senior VP in defining change management initiatives and act as the regional change leader responsible for successfully adopting key initiatives.
  • Create a culture of operational excellence, both within the operations teams and throughout the company, bringing rigor, focus, hustle, and a continuous iterative improvement mindset to every aspect of Valet Living’s field service offering.
  • Hire and develop service-minded, exceptional operators, unleashing their potential to succeed.
  • Manage budget and resource planning to ensure the company is prepared to meet new operational challenges and capable of rapidly responding to new opportunities.
  • Proactively partner with the Sales organization and form connections with our largest clients.  Handle escalations of current client concerns as needed.
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the client and resident experience. Ensure long-term client retention & satisfaction through the delivery of a consistently positive client experience and partnership at all levels of interaction.
  • Be a client advocate, capturing feedback and reporting resident experiences, to drive customer loyalty and service adoption.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and safety measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
  • Develop clear performance metrics and create systems to continuously track and improve against them.
  • Foster a culture of safety, consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the company’s diligence process by identifying risks and opportunities and driving successful integration of acquisitions.
  • Maintain an understanding of the market, competitive properties within the region, and all other pertinent market forces.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including vendor performance, service agreements, and negotiations.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with multi-site operations and experience managing a geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience working in retail, hospitality, home services, or relevant B2B services industry with a client-first strategy required.
  • Previous experience in leading an organization with a large part-time workforce is preferred.
  • Previous private equity experience preferred.
  • Previous sales or customer experience leadership is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, MBA a plus.

The final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including the candidate's location, level of experience, and skill set. As such, it may fall outside the range listed above.
