Job Summary: The well-being coaching consultant is responsible for supporting team member(s) physical, mental, emotional, and social health by designing customized individual and group wellness programming that promote and empower healthy behaviors. Well-being coaching consultants assess and advise on applicable well-being improvement strategies along with setting realistic goals for their clients to achieve. In conjunction with organizational leaders, the well-being coaching consultant will implement system strategies to ensure that wellness programs are measurable and are aligned with the overall wellness mission and vision. The well-being coaching consultant will work independently to create curriculum, evidence-based activities, and exercises to empower positive change, create a well-being culture of trust, foster meaningful connections and to integrate resources and tools for our leaders and team members spanning with Wellstar footprint. The well-being coaching consultant will also contribute to large scale system projects focused on improving the overall well-being of our workforce, by assisting leaders in focused coaching surrounding relevant themes to create a positive impact on the Great Place to Work scores as it pertains to respect, pride, camaraderie, credibility, and fairness. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Wellness Program Development * Assess and analyze the overall wellness needs of individuals and groups through formal intake process * Outline primary areas of improvement; create strategic proposal based on needs identified * Research, develop and implement coaching interventions to shift behaviors contributing to a collaborative culture of holistic well-being * Maintain program schedule * Manage travel between all Wellstar locations based on the volume and demand of wellness programs Education, Marketing and Training * Partner with various Wellstar facilities and departments in marketing and speaking engagements surrounding wellness program initiatives * Deliver presentations to team members and groups discussing the value and impact of wellness coaching and its effects on team member longevity * Support ongoing and new system initiatives through resource sharing and/or serving as the subject matter expert; low level crisis intervention, Sharecare, EAP, Trust Collaborative, various nursing accreditation criteria, Employee Experience Committees, Wellness Committees, etc. * Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to support coaching program elements Stats and Documentation * Document interventions while maintaining team member confidentiality * Administer pre and post assessments to analyze and track behavior trends amongst groups for the development of coaching interventions * Provide outcomes report at the end of each intervention/program. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education:
  • Bachelors Exercise Science or Bachelors Nutrition or Bachelors Health Promotion or Bachelors Social Work or Bachelors Psychology
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
  • Certified Health Coach or Lic Professional Counselor
Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 2 years + delivering wellness coaching or health education in a community or hospital environment Required Required Minimum Skills: Well-being coaching consultants should be proficient in the following areas: ability to guide behavior change efforts in others so that participants increase self-confidence and capacity to make and sustain positive lifestyle changes, knowledge of the principles of behavior change, including motivational interviewing techniques, commitment to the mission of WellStar Health System, and flexibility to work with people from all walks of life. Exercises independent judgement and initiative when performing duties. Must have a strong passion and personal commitment to healthy behaviors and lifestyle.
