Job Summary
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for updating and maintaining payroll records including all personal data, withholding amounts, and other pertinent information necessary for proper payroll processing

Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:

• Scan payroll records to OnBase document imaging software
• Accurately calculating and processing employee deductions
• Respond to inquiries from hospital employees regarding payroll concerns
• Overseeing the payroll ticket system to track and process historical edit requests for UKG timecards
• Assist Payroll Supervisor with bi-weekly payroll processing
• All other related duties assigned under Payroll and Accounting

Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED
• +1 year of experience processing payroll in a fast paced environment

Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations
• N/A

Skills and Abilities
• Highly proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications
• 8000+ ksph data entry with accuracy
• Ability to use independent judgement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
Position requires daily interaction with department directors, employees, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Accounting. Position will have occasional interaction with external vendors and government agencies

Physical Capabilities
Occasionally exerts a small amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects. Should be able to lift 10 lbs. Work involves sitting for prolonged periods of time. Hearing acuity is required to be able to accurately transact business dealings

Environmental/Working Conditions
This position is subject to inside environmental conditions, including variations in temperature changes
