The Packaging & Specialty Plastics Business has an exciting opportunity for a Credit Director! This position can be located in Midland (MI, USA) or Houston (TX, USA).

About This Role

In this role, you will apply in-depth knowledge of the finance discipline, broad industry knowledge and global political and economic awareness to set the strategic direction and decision making regarding credit exposure and payment terms for the P&SP Segment and provide analysis and guidance on segment working capital and related cash flow impact.

Also, you will complete the following tasks:

  • Lead a Global team of over 15 credit professionals located in 10 different countries
  • Lead two people leaders
  • Lead all Credit processes for the P&SP Segment: Credit review compliance, past dues, bad debt reserve, legal cases, credit insurance, business discretionary support, order release management, and more.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to business leaders on credit risk
  • Design and lead initiatives to optimize A/R
  • Lead the monthly P&SP A/R Estimate and the annual A/R Plan
  • Collaborate with the Net Working Capital Team on cash flow strategy, targets and interventions
  • Be part of the Global Credit Steering Team
  • Be part of the P&SP Finance Leadership Team
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to the collections team
  • Collaborate with Inventory on working capital opportunity identification and reporting
  • Lead net working capital reporting and analysis for the P&SP Segment ahead of monthly cash flow meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher
  • 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • For U.S. applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree discipline in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
  • MBA or higher education
  • People Leader experience
  • Relevant Credit Risk experience
  • International business experience
  • Advanced skills in data management, analytics and visualization
