Your role

As a Platform Engineer on the Corporate Technology team, you will look after the legal document management and Enterprise records management capabilities. You will support SaaS and on-premises applications including iManage and OpenText. You will collaborate with product owners, technical leads, system administrators, and user support teams to enhance our digital toolset and server management.  You will establish technical standards applying your in-depth expertise to configure and optimize the iManage and OpenText systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our user community.  Your role will involve troubleshooting, implementing enhancements, and maintaining the servers of these essential applications. As a technical expert, you will leverage your exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and collaborative spirit, embracing agile methodologies and a commitment to continuous improvement to drive impactful solutions that elevate our operational efficiency and user satisfaction within.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring 

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
  • Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization  
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills
  • Significant experience and/or deep expertise with the following:
    • Core Platforms & Languages: SaaS, Python, API’s
    • Unit, interface and end user testing concepts and tooling (functional & non-functional)
    • Advanced knowledge with SaaS Platforms and Integrations
    • Configuration and administration of core capabilities, integrations, security, access control
    • Experience with SQL, Excel, XML, and XSLT

iManage Work Responsibilities:

  • User Support: This involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for users of iManage Work.  The goal is to ensure seamless document management and collaboration, helping users resolve any issues they encounter while using the system.
  • System Configuration: This includes assisting in configuring and customizing iManage Work to meet the organization's needs. It involves setting up user roles, permissions, and workflows to ensure the system operates efficiently and securely.
  • Training: This responsibility involves conducting training sessions and creating user manuals to enhance staff proficiency in using iManage Work effectively. The aim is to ensure that all users are well-versed in the system's functionalities.
  • Integration Management: This entails collaborating with IT teams to integrate iManage Work with other software applications used within the organization. The goal is to ensure smooth data flow and interoperability between systems.
  • Product Knowledge – Proficiency in utilizing the iManage API for developing custom scripts.

OpenText Responsibilities:

  • Records Management Oversight: This involves managing the implementation and maintenance of the OpenText records management system, ensuring compliance with internal and external record-keeping regulations and security standards. The focus is on maintaining accurate and secure records.
  • Data Migration: This responsibility includes assisting in the migration of data from legacy systems to OpenText. It ensures that the system is sized appropriately to accommodate volume requirements, and that performance is within benchmark tolerances.
  • User Access Management: This involves overseeing user access and permissions in OpenText, which includes synchronization with the Active Directory repository and ensuring that staff have appropriate access to records while maintaining security protocols.
  • System Maintenance: This includes performing regular maintenance, including vendor software updates, vendor patch management and preliminary testing of the OpenText software to ensure optimal performance, security and functionality.
  • Server Management: This responsibility involves monitoring and managing the on-premises servers hosting OpenText, including performance tuning, backups, updating, patching, disaster recovery planning and testing, as well as vulnerability management.
  • Troubleshooting: This entails diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to the OpenText system and its infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Patch Management: This involves implementing and managing maintenance schedules for enterprise and server software to it ensure compliance with internal and external standards and requirements.

Note: Flexibility in hours is required as software and server maintenance is scheduled during off-hours.

The salary range for this role is from $125,000.00 to $186,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
