1. Trains, validates and certifies facilitators to prepare and deliver training programs using Masterful and Synchronous training techniques. Role models these behaviors and demonstrates expert facilitation skills
2. Plans the quarterly delivery schedule and communicates this to the field and facilitators. Manages headcount resources and budget to deliver on time and to forecast. Flags concerns proactively
3. Observes sessions to ensure facilitators are following an effective flow, generating participation and enthusiasm, tailoring presentations, holding discussions to the needs and level of the participants and responding to questions with facts and examples that are relevant and accurate. Checks to see if facilitators are using relevant and appropriate storytelling to engage and inspire participants
4. Influence & Feedback. Utilizes system driven student tracking, coaches feedback, learner feedback and observed behaviors to assess and track student progress. Uses this data to confirm learner readiness and communicate program and participant effectiveness and achievement of learning objectives to business partners and stakeholders. Supports development of learning dashboards and socializes as required.
5. Confirms that learners meet the learning/performance criteria on an ongoing basis, collaborates with coach on root cause issues and plans/ communicates required continued development. Provides factually based written and spoken feedback to the learners coach as required. Leads conversations that require escalation to Sr. Leaders within the store and business..
6. Displays passion and energy while facilitating by demonstrating broadcast voice techniques, tone, body movements, expressions and gestures. Seeks new and creative ways to engage across varying modalities of delivery. Seeks out, accepts and applies feedback to improve training delivery and related activities.
7. Stays current with trends and best practices in the field of education and training and with changes related to the business operations; Aligns training content with corporate strategies and objectives. Flags opportunities and shares best practices openly.
8. Delivers sessions for Sr. Leaders in the business. Deliver content with added complexity for which they must maintain credibility and thorough knowledge of content and application of models. Readiness requires self study and practice outside of the classroom
9. Plans for talent pipeline and assesses talent and skill level quarterly, assigning developmental opportunities for growth and feedback to facilitators to improve performance. Maps areas of strength and gaps within team to plan for requirements up to one year out and communicates these to the Director.
10. Evolves the Walmart Academy brand through positive interactions, cultivation of relationships within the business, development and coaching support and social media strategy to maintain credibility and attractiveness for future recruitment/ sponsorship needs.
Qualifications:
College or University Degree
Adult Learning Certificate/Diploma/Degree is an asset
Learning professional with 5 + years of learning experience leading a team and/or proven Walmart leader (led a high performing team) with learning experience.
Fully Bilingual French English Written/Oral
