The ideal candidate is organized, solutions-oriented, self-directed, flexible and demonstrates leadership and initiative, while also being a committed and contributing team player with a strong desire to help steward deep relationships with internal stakeholders. This position reports into the Senior EA to the CEO, and is responsible for ensuring the productivity of the CSO and CMO, optimizing their schedule, and ensuring that the teams operate at their highest efficiency. Their daily tasks carefully balance long-term strategic objectives with immediate, time-sensitive details. The incumbent actively prepares content for meetings, oversees presentations in partnership with the Senior EA, and collaborates with the broader team on projects involving the executive team. The position will work collaboratively with the program leads, teams, and functional area leads in a fast-paced and exciting environment at the heart of ensuring planning and achievement of our critical corporate goals. This role is focused on enabling teams to advance therapeutic programs from discovery to development candidates. This is an exciting and visible role for a highly qualified and motivated individual.

Key Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

  • Primary day to day will center around calendaring and administrative functions 
    • Partner with the Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO to drive overall management of the CSO's calendar to ensure it maximizes productivity and effectiveness. This also includes an ability to proactively "connect the dots" to identify where issues and conflicts might arise
  • Provide a critical role in driving the cadence of updates and follow-up actions related to senior R&D leadership initiatives
  • Lead and contribute to special projects as assigned by the CSO, CMO and/or senior leadership
  • Work with Senior EA to design and implement processes to improve executive decision-making, monitor progress, communication and execution. Maintain order in a fast-paced environment
  • Create, edit and project manage presentation materials (external and internal)
  • Assist in Board, and investor meeting preparations, including pitch decks
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on effective organizational structures and practices, looking for opportunities to improve inefficiencies within the organization
  • Own and create appropriate levels of governance to ensure alignment and clear objectives
  • Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry in an administrative or project coordinator function
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in roles working with executives
  • Knowledge of biotechnology/pharmaceutical research and development processes

  • Startup experience preferred
