Job Title:  ESG Reporting and Disclosure Program Manager

Position Overview: 

We are looking for a self-motivated Program Manager (PM) to join the Insulet Corporate Sustainability Team at an incredibly exciting time for the organization. This position is responsible for managing our annual sustainability reporting and disclosure-based sustainability regulatory filings as part of the Corporate Global Sustainability team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, preparing for and ensuring compliance with emerging sustainability reporting regulations (e.g. CSRD, SEC Climate Disclosure, California climate reporting, etc.)  and managing the end-to-end development of our annual Sustainability Report and sustainability disclosure regulatory filings.  You will work closely with Finance/Accounting, Legal, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, HR, and Procurement as well as other cross-functional company leaders. You will also work with other Program Managers on the Global Sustainability team.

This position reports to the Vice President, Global Sustainability, Chief Sustainability Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the company's sustainability reporting and disclosure roadmap, including planning and preparation for emerging requirements
  • Lead end-to-end development of annual Sustainability Report and sustainability disclosure regulatory filings including, but not limited to: CSRD, SEC Climate Disclosure, California climate reporting, and other emerging regulations
  • Maintain CSRD-aligned company Double Materiality Assessment
  • Manage CSRD compliance assessment with third party consultants to prioritize required actions and ensure business readiness
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of, and expertise in, sustainability reporting and serve as company subject matter expert (SME). Monitor and benchmark reporting trends and changes to reporting frameworks and standards to provide insights and recommendations on advancing Insulet’s external reporting practices
  • Coordinate and communicate with SMEs to lead well-planned, cross-functional initiatives that engage various teams, including Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Procurement and Corporate Communications
  • Partner with key internal functions (e.g., Finance/Internal Audit, Regulatory, Legal) to support report assurance and compliance related activities and to strengthen data management, controls and disclosure procedures
  • Train key leaders and employee groups on reporting processes, procedures and controls as needed
  • Lead ESG reporting governance including cross functional Executive Steering Committee and disclosure-related Working Groups
  • Manage ESG ratings and rankings performance
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to stakeholder inquiries

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Sustainability/ESG, specifically Sustainability Reporting, emerging disclosure requirements (e.g. CSRD, ISSB, SEC Climate Disclosure, California climate reporting, and others), ESG ratings, and stakeholder engagement
  • Demonstrated experience and success managing program budgets and project timelines; ability to meet deadlines is key for this role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis and excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management
  • Sound judgment and independent decision-making abilities; comfort with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced, growth industry and work environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally at all levels of seniority
  • Proficient in the following computer software applications: MS Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project as well as familiarity with Smartsheets

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree
  • MBA or other Masters level degree in Sustainability, Finance or related field  preferred
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience and success in a program management role working in the Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, Electronics or related industry
  • Excellent written communication skills with minimum of 3 years’ experience leading complex reporting projects and proven copy-editing skills; financial reporting experience also valuable
  • Strong attention to detail, high sense of urgency, and strong organizational management skills
  • Must possess detail and process orientation to drive data integrity, consistency and governance
  • Must understand global ESG regulatory landscape (e.g. CSRD, UK SECR, SEC Climate Disclosure, California climate reporting), frameworks (e.g. SASB, GRI, TCFD) and ESG ratings
  • Project management certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Travel – 0-10%
  • Hybrid role.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,100.00 - $151,950.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
