This role is at our Santa Clara, CA location. This is a 100% onsite position. (This is not a remote or hybrid role.)

We are actively searching for a dynamic and accomplished individual to assume the role of NPI MPM Manager at Applied Materials ETCH BU. This position requires a candidate with exceptional expertise and experience in NPI program management, as well as a proven track record in talent development. In addition, the ideal candidate should possess an extensive understanding of supply chain operations and procurement excellence, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of various fabrication commodities. Strong business acumen within the semiconductor industry is also a crucial requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

· Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

· Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the overall functional capabilities of the team.

· Collaborate across the matrix and influence decisions with impact to sourcing strategy, supply chain risk or material cost.

· Lead others to solve complex problems and associated risks; uses structured approach as well as sophisticated, analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions.

Supply Chain Expertise

· Develop and implement effective supply chain strategy from NPI to High Volume that meets performance requirements and enables Business Unit’s product strategy.

· Collaborate and negotiate with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials and components.

· Proactively identify and communicate potential risks that could impact the continuity of the supply chain to cross-functional teams. Develop and implement comprehensive risk mitigation plans in a timely manner.

· Establishing and ensuring adherence to best practice policies and procedures.

Fabrication Commodities

· Demonstrate proficiency across diverse fabrication commodities, including but not limited to photolithography, etching, deposition, and wafer processing.

· Experience sourcing & qualifying critical parts in the context of SEMI conductor equipment product development

· Lead initiatives to assess and implement advancements in fabrication technologies to meet evolving industry standards.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative materials for enhanced efficiency and reliability.

Program Management

· Oversee and manage end-to-end semiconductor equipment NPI development programs from Supply Chain perspective.

· Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality control throughout the NPI project lifecycle.

· Early identify and resolve potential complications/ risks jeopardizing the program’s targets. Provide fact-based containment options and/ or sustainable solution scenarios to executive stakeholders.

· Regularly present status updates in executive reviews with your team

Business Expertise

· Apply broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across business unit, department or sub-functions.

· Create & execute product cost reduction roadmap as well as contribute to YoY material cost reduction for released products.

· Lead and motivate team in the implementation of cost reduction initiatives to align with business unit objectives of achieving optimal gross margins.

· Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.

Interpersonal Skills

· Demonstrates a strategic mindset focused on achieving goals and objectives, consistently making a positive impact on the department, business unit, or sub-function.

· Effectively conveys complex ideas and concepts (problem statement/ “telling the story”), adeptly negotiates and influences the opinions of senior executives and external stakeholders, while remaining aware of the audience's sensitivities.

· Foster and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, emphasizing long-term partnerships and collaboration.

Qualifications

· Education: BA in engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree plus MBA preferred.

· Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in semiconductor equipment development, fabrication and Supply Chain management.

Functional Knowledge

· Proven expertise in program management, supply chain management, and business acumen.

· Strong understanding of material properties and their impact on semiconductor device performance and material cost.

· Extensive knowledge of various fabrication commodities and processes.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

U.S. Salary Range:

$128,000.00 - $176,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
