This position is working for our RTLS brand.  RTLS are a fast-growing supplier of emergency assist/duress call systems, nurse call systems, paging equipment and tracking solutions to key clients within the health and public sector.

As a Systems Engineer you will be expected to take control of site projects large and small showing enthusiasm and a professional pro-active attitude with good communication skills to deal with any situation arising on site. Produce wiring diagrams and maintaining project and configuration files for future use. Research and implement software and hardware integration of offered and new systems. You may have to stay away from home if the site or training is too far to travel back and forth.

Main Duties

  • Complete design, configuration, installation, test and commission supplied equipment to the specifications of the client

  • Managing assigned projects and liaise with sites and third party companies to deliver services in accordance with client proposals

  • Troubleshoot and resolve operation, faults and related issues of supplied equipment when contacted by clients during warranty or on maintenance contracts by providing both on-site and remote support

  • Look into different ways of integrating systems through hardware or software engineering

  • Produce and manage maintenance schedules

  • Identifying, investigate and repair any system faults

  • Attend regular engineering meetings to give feedback on how the company could improve the services and products it offers

What we look for

  • Full UK driving license

  • Customer Service experience

  • Field experience

  • Interest in the Healthcare life safety industry

  • Working knowledge applications within Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, & Visio

  • Technical knowledge of electronic addressable components and software configuration in warden call / nurse call / paging would be an advantage but not critical since training will be provided

  • To be PC literate

  • Flexible (we must support 24/7 service contracts; we sometimes have to work out of hours)

  • Organised and safety conscious

  • DBS Security check required due to the nature of our business

  • Reliable, good timekeeper

  • Good English communication skills written and verbal, ability to encourage, negotiate with and motivate others

  • Ability to resolve problems faults in a professional structured manner
