Job Description

Responsibilities • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing. Typical Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience; or Master's Degree without experience; or Associate's Degree with 6 years of related experience; or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree. High school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
