Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to join the Information Technology and Shared Services (IT&SS) Rates team in Hazelwood, MO, Huntsville, AL or Mesa, AZ

The IT&SS rates team supports the enterprise in the delivery of Information Technology (IT), Finance, Facilities, Human Resources (HR) and other services required to run the business. 

We are seeking an Associate Financial Analyst to be part of our dynamic team.   The analyst will have the opportunity to interface with finance leadership and US government customers in the development, tracking, reporting and support of the IT&SS Forward Pricing Rate Proposal.  In addition, the analyst will coordinate across the enterprise with Boeing businesses including Corporate, Engineering Test & Technology (ET&T), and Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) Home Offices and Accounting Business Units (ABUs), as well as with various functions critical to the success of the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal/Agreement (FPRP/A) process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for budgets, functions or pools
  • Initiates analysis of resource forecasts including pool cost, labor rates and/or Facilities Capital Cost of Money (FCCOM)
  • Compiles data from multiple sources and develops performance reports
  • Initiates variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to management
  • Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes, and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, and variance analyses and communicates trends
  • Develops business cases using appropriate indices

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in a finance, estimating or related role
  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Experience using excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in cost policy, cost accounting or cost management
  • Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Accounting System (EAS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Cost Status Performance Report (CSPR), Enterprise Planning & Analysis System (EPAS)
  • Expertise in program management and dashboarding tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPivot, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
