About the Team

The Store Ops team in Bangalore supports Lowe’s US Store Operations by delivering actionable insights on sales, inventory, transactions, and in-store processes. The team drives project-level initiatives through analysis and reporting to improve operational efficiency.

Job Summary

The Store Ops Analyst provides rapid insights and supports initiatives related to sales floor processes (inventory, selling, tasking). The role involves deep analysis of store operations to identify patterns, variations, and improvement opportunities, enabling data-driven decisions across inventory, merchandising, and technology.

Responsibilities & Skills

  • Analyze large, complex datasets (transactional, operational, customer) to deliver actionable insights for store operations.
  • Develop data-driven solutions using SQL, Python, and Big Data tools (Hive, Hadoop, Spark, GCP); automate workflows and apply statistical/machine learning techniques for forecasting and risk prediction.
  • Build dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI; communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, support A/B testing, and measure impact of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Store Ops, Merchandising, inventory teams ) to co-create solutions.
  • Must-have skills: SQL & Python, Big Data familiarity, cloud platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), data visualization expertise, statistical modeling knowledge, and understanding of store operations metrics.

Experience

  • 2-4 years in data analytics/operational analysis (retail preferred).
