As part of a Financial Accounting shared service organization, you will report to the EMEA accounting supervisor and work closely with other members of the team based in Europe on a day to day basis.

The successful candidate will be carrying out tasks in the below areas:

Providing accounting support to a number of European entities which will

involves:

  • Prepare and enter monthly journals (involving US GAAP close) in SAP HANA (eg. accruals, IC transactions, payroll, cost re-classes etc)
  • Prepare/review accounting data to post; cooperation with FP&A, global accounting and tax departments while collecting necessary details (eg. calculation of IC invoices, Interests, preparation and tracking the schedules of cost amort, accruals etc)
  • Balance sheet Account Reconciliations prepare/review (BlackLine)
  • Provide support on the preparation and filing of EMEA entities:  VAT, CIT (local GAAP vs US GAAP analyzes may be required)
  • Ensure the appropriate control environment and supporting documentation required by corporate policies and SOX standards.
  • Providing information to internal customers (FP&A, tax, internal auditors, external statutory auditors)
  • Coordination of transaction processes (AP, AR and GL) both with internal and outsourced teams
  • Other adhoc accounting duties as required.

Required Competencies:

  • Fluent English
  • Preferred accounting knowledge and/or experience (Accountancy Academic Qualifications – “nice to have” skills)
  • Team player
  • Communication skills
  • Excel to intermediate standard
  • Performs work conscientiously and diligently (flexibility while quarter or year closure)
  • Knowledge of SAP (nice to have)
