As a member of the EH&S group, the role of the Environmental Intern is to provide technical assistance to support the refinery team. This is done with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a chemical engineering or relevant program at an accredited post-secondary institution

  • Ability to promote Environment, Health and Safety issues

  • Effective problem solving skills

  • Excellent ability to understand and analyze technical reports

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory review;

  • Homologation process for new products used at the refinery;

  • Participation in updating emergency plans;

  • Participation in the development of applications for environmental permits / ministerial authorizations;

  • Writing articles for the weekly EH&S;

  • Participation in the realization of the sampling program in occupational hygiene;

  • WHMIS audit on site;

  • Production of monthly environmental reports;

  • Participation in the realization of environmental sampling campaigns

Location and other Key Details: 

  • This is a 4-month work term starting in January 2025

  • You will work out of our Montréal office, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
