You will work side-by-side with some of the most talented people in the energy industry, and your work assignments and mentoring will offer you outstanding academic and career growth.As a member of the EH&S group, the role of the Environmental Intern is to provide technical assistance to support the refinery team. This is done with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
Minimum Requirements:
Current enrollment in a chemical engineering or relevant program at an accredited post-secondary institution
Ability to promote Environment, Health and Safety issues
Effective problem solving skills
Excellent ability to understand and analyze technical reports
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Regulatory review;
Homologation process for new products used at the refinery;
Participation in updating emergency plans;
Participation in the development of applications for environmental permits / ministerial authorizations;
Writing articles for the weekly EH&S;
Participation in the realization of the sampling program in occupational hygiene;
WHMIS audit on site;
Production of monthly environmental reports;
Participation in the realization of environmental sampling campaigns

This is a 4-month work term starting in January 2025
You will work out of our Montréal office, located at 11701 Sherbrooke Street East
