Category Manager – Consumer Electronics - UK Trading (Verticals)
Location:  Hotham House, Richmond
Department: UK Trading Team

Fixed Term Contract Length: 12 months

About the Team

This exciting opening will support the team by defining and driving the category strategy. You’ll work with strategically important: sellers, brands, distributers and retailers to offer shoppers more choice, better value and a more convenient experience. This role reports into a Senior Category Manager who supports on the delivery of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver robust plans to drive value for buyers and sellers through brilliant and engaging experiences
  • Create talkability in the market through authentic and meaningful actions which make an impact on people, planet and pocket for both sellers and buyers
  • Identify and collaborate with partners who can support exponential growth by identifying skills and expertise in the market
  • Build category and market expertise to identify and exploit opportunities for eBay and build inventory plans which win vs the market
  • Develop expert understanding of the market’s operations and current strategies, utilising insight to identify and drive opportunities for growth
  • Lead and develop the relationship with key sellers to deliver the category strategy
  • Collaborate with other categories and product teams to drive further engagement and build an added customer value proposition
  • Calculate; manage and monitor performance against agreed KPI's

Requirements

  • Previously worked within online or retail environment, preferably with experience within the electronics industry
  • Experience at negotiating
  • Able to work tactically to drive & respond to business performance
  • General proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job, especially Excel
  • Comfortable working with data to make business decisions
  • Knowledge and passion for electronics and sustainability
