This position is remote (virtual) and can work from home but must be located within North Dakota or South Dakota.
The Crop Protection Product Manager is the expert resource providing depth & breadth of technical knowledge and experience for the corresponding business unit(s) (BU) field team on the CPP portfolio including crop protection, adjuvant, seed treatment, plant nutrition and performance products and tools. Responsibilities include input & communication of strategic direction for the portfolio, technical expertise, and internal and aligned owner training on these products and tools. Will lead an assigned product area to champion national processes, influencing net revenue $400MM+, market support and development, while influencing a multi-state geography.

30% Product Portfolio
Partners with the product development team to advance products through the Winfield United stage gate process and pipeline.
Product Development- Works with marketing to define claims needed to support a successful product launch or support information and collaborates with research managers to generate data and insights.
Leads product launch initiatives and supports other specific processes in the By Winfield United Stage Gates to ensure alignment of the product pipeline with field needs.
Key contact for the field level engagement with suppliers and manufacturers for the BU
25% Training and Communication
Accountable as the primary resource for the MDA and field sales team within the BU on the communication and execution of crop protection product strategies.
Ensures internal training plans are developed, implemented and the staff is prepared to execute technically.
Develops and executes experiences, conferences, and training to lead WinField United’s agronomic position within our internal staff and key owner events.
Defines and executes support efforts according to the Account Plan.
Collaborates with the other functional experts (for example - Seed Product Manager) to set direction on overall strategy for BU data, products, agronomic messaging and coordinates cross-functional training or conferences within the BU, will influence up to 15-20% of Winfield United sales.
25% Marketing/Sales Input and Direction
Engages with marketing leadership and leverages knowledge by providing resources, trends, and direction for strategic needs in each product category, and assigned focus area, to achieve business objectives.
Ensure appropriate data and insights are incorporated into material resources used for sales support.
Leads development of promotional and training materials for the entire brand ladder, including but not limited to, technical bulletins, podcasts, and videos.
Builds local agronomic recommendations and technical positioning of crop protection, plant nutrition, and performance products in alignment with the total acre solution within the BU.
Supports vended crop protection offerings while focusing on STAMPS and proprietary products.
Supports STAMPS and HIF product development by connecting market needs to product ideas and positioning.
20% Research Protocols
Collaborates with APD on Answer Plots and sets on-farm trial strategies for crop protection products, services, and clinics within the BU.
Creates Answer Plot demo designs and content and partners with the Market Development Agronomist and the Seed Product Manager on content delivery.
Leads collaboration externally with agronomic experts and technical teams from other companies, universities, and government agencies.
Provides thought leadership and guidance to support future strategic business objectives.
Essential Functions/Work Environment:
Ability to travel up to 40%, including evenings and some weekends; may require working long hours during peak seasons.

The salary range for this role is $102,480 - $153,720
