The Business Risk and Control Officer is a strategic professional responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the organization. This role requires understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure risks are effectively managed.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk identification processes to pinpoint potential risks that could impact the organization.

  • Collaborate with business units to gather insights and data for identifying material and emerging risks.

  • Utilize various risk identification tools and techniques to ensure potential risks are capture.

  • Perform risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.

  • Continuously monitor and reassess risks to account for changes in the business environment.

  • Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure that risk reporting is accurate, timely, and aligns with regulatory requirements.

  • Continuously review and enhance risk identification processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Overall responsibility for supporting implementation of the control standard, including the creation of a control inventory.

  • Leverage data analytics and technology to enhance risk management capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in risk management, with a focus on risk identification.

  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective organizational influencing skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.

  • MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
