What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the preparation or review of all monthly general ledger activities and journal entries, which include complex accounting areas like equity method investments, GAAP differences, and foreign exchange, specifically for International Power entities.

  • Tasked with reviewing and completing financial statement reviews and analysis files for International Power entities, including the investigation, documentation, and analysis of complex issues.

  • Accountable for the review of monthly bank reconciliations for all Enbridge International bank accounts; also in charge of preparing account reconciliations for equity method investment accounts and other general ledger accounts related to international entities.

  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Financial Reporting, Accounting Research, Consolidations, Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure compliance in reporting and disclosure for International Power entities according to US GAAP and Enbridge’s consolidated accounting policies and procedures.

  • Required to communicate and answer questions from senior leaders, necessitating specialized knowledge, expertise, and experience regarding International accounting standards, GAAP and non-GAAP requirements, as well as the offshore wind business.

  • Ensure adherence to SOX controls and related reporting requirements; evolve the control structure and reporting in response to increased activity or shifts from construction to operations.

  • Assist with the review of monthly general ledger activities and journal entries, including PPM, for other North America Power assets and support other special projects as needed.
     

Who You Are:

  • Capable of translating complex technical concepts and collaborating virtually with teams and partners across decentralized European locations.

  • Skilled in researching, analyzing, and reconciling financial data to make informed decisions; adept at applying industry and technical expertise to resolve issues.

  • Encourages innovation, devises plans, and spearheads changes and improvements that benefit team and organizational levels.

  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification.

  • Over seven years of direct accounting experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting in the renewable energy sector.

  • Proficient in IFRS and US GAAP.

  • Experienced with Oracle Cloud, HFM, ARCs, and EPBCS.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
