About the Role

Support Governance Control team of Partnership Distribution to manage the operation and sustain long term business quality

As an Assistant Manager, Governance and Control, you will play a vital role in furthering this mission within our sales team in Hong Kong. This is a special opportunity to apply your established skills and work together with a top-tier organization to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage the execution of a flawless business quality framework for different distribution channels and models.
  • Support the manager in designing and successfully implementing effective controls in identified risk areas of partnership distribution channels, including but not limited to:
    • Selection and appointment of intermediaries
    • On-going appraisal of intermediaries
    • Sales & marketing and communication controls
    • Compensation controls
    • Sales process and business quality management
    • Customer complaint and conduct management
  • Collaborate with business partners and other internal collaborators to implement highly effective controls in identified risk areas.
  • Prepare and perform regular risk and control assessments for the department, driving actions to address areas with increased risks.
  • Investigate and report compliance incidents to the Direct Manager/Department.
  • Coordinate and provide assistance for departmental reviews by Compliance, Internal Audit, and regulators.
  • Provide all necessary support to enhance the awareness and knowledge of risk management, controls, and governance for department staff.
  • Engage in governance-related initiatives to sustain long-term business quality.
  • Support the manager on ad hoc projects and assignments.

Job Requirements:

  • University/College graduate with 6 years of relevant working experience in the financial services industry.
  • Driven, proactive, and highly independent.
  • Strong ownership and accountability for results.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and spoken English and Cantonese.
  • Holder of IIQE certification is required.
