JOB SUMMARY:
In AP team you will maintain relationships with our internal & External vendors assuring that documentation is properly maintained from reception till payment. You will take ownership of invoices with cost allocation focus (processing and resolution, including intercompany) as well as payments and be key point of contact for our local suppliers. The daily duties will also cover performing AP month end closing activities (incl. AP , GR/IR reconciliations) and vendor statement reconciliation.
Responsible for multiple accounting AP booking entries in our ERP system. Backup of our accounting team for various tasks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare & post AP journal entries (accruals, accounting entries as required)
Processing of monthly freight & non-freight/customs/warehouse invoices
Monthly preparation of AP reconciliation all balance sheet accounts.
Perform AP Month end / Quarterly/ Annual Close reports.
Processing of daily AP invoices in our ERP system
Auditing & Processing of Employee expenses in concur
Performing annual statutory Audits and providing samples to the auditor to complete annual audits
Responsible for monitoring and timely management of the AP email account & to attend vendor meetings as per the requirement.
Correspond with vendors and respond to all vendor inquiries.
Maintenance and updating of detailed SOP documents.
Review and analyze invoice exceptions and work to resolve the issues.
Respond to vendor inquiries to provide payment dates or other related information, conduct routine investigations, and escalate inquires that are unresolved through standard procedures. Coordinate with new vendors to obtain required documentation to set up vendor files
To work on the daily/ weekly/ monthly reporting processes as per the management requirement
Create/ establish/ update the supplier account reconciliations and work towards closing the discrepancies.
Review and analyze invoice exceptions and work to resolve the issues.
Collaborates cross functionally with Purchasing, Stores, Finance counterparts on the respective locations to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Continuous process improvement mindset and re-engineering for optimization
Involvement in the projects relating ERP upgrades, transitions, trainings
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor level accounting education, Master degree will be a added advantage
Minimum 5 years of working experience in international accounting
Must speak English fluently- other languages a plus
Strong ERP experience and very good MS Office knowledge
Experience with an International US/Europe based company is a plus
Team player
Good communication skills
Great organizational skills and good level of working by him/her self
Great ability and drive for quality, accuracy and detail
Ability to work under pressure
