The Systems Engineer is responsible for executing systems engineering, integration, and test efforts in support of the Program Executive Office – Missiles and Space, Army Hypersonics Project Office, which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army’s Long Range Hypersonics Weapon System.

  • Review and define Systems Engineering requirements in support of mission analysis, missile and ground system equipment, engineering/verification, and system performance analysis.

  • Review and evaluate Systems Engineering specifications, development plans, designs, technical data packages, and software packages.

  • Interface with other government organizations and contractors to facilitate System Engineering reviews.

  • Facilitate development of Government acceptance and qualification test plans.

  • Support design, development, integration and test of All-Up-Round, engineering change proposals and technical insertions

  • Develop and maintain documentation of interface control and technical baseline and configuration control management process.

  • Develop and monitor key system performance parameters.

  • Lead risk management activities to include development and documentation of risks and acceptance/mitigation strategies.  Present to risk management boards.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Ability to support on-site (in office)

Required Experience

  • Senior level experience in Systems Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEM.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle through experience in major defense acquisition projects.

  • Experience in developing and monitoring key performance parameters and maintaining technical/programmatic risk.

  • Knowledge of major review entrance and exit criteria and experience conducting reviews

  • Recent knowledge of interface control documents, technical baselines, and configuration control management process.

Desired Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI

  • Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviors.

  • Experience preparing briefings and documentation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of how to develop M&S plan to support analysis products

  • Familiar with conducting technical reviews of entrance and exit criteria.
