This position will be a hybrid work arrangement, which translates to 3 days minimum per week in the office.

We are seeking a self-motivated Associate to join our Secondary Investment team in Singapore to lead principal functions including investment analysis, due diligence, investment recommendation, negotiation, and monitoring.

The ideal candidate is someone who is:

  • Capable of leading smaller transactions from sourcing and analysis through closing
  • Able to support senior investment professionals in larger transactions
  • Independent but also a team player

What you will do:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of potential secondary investments and present findings to senior investment professionals within the Secondary Team
  • Maintain dialogue during a deal with sellers, agents and GPs as appropriate and build external relationships in the context of a deal for future investment opportunities
  • Coordinate upfront legal and tax work, also between HarbourVest, seller, and any third party resources to close transactions
  • Perform analysis as necessary to evaluate secondary investment performance: update calls with General Partners, financial statement analysis, attendance at annual meetings, and primary and secondary research as appropriate
  • Assist in the writing of letters to investors for regular reporting and for fund investment updates
  • Prepare annual meeting, reporting materials and assist in updating marketing materials
  • Identify, contact, and introduce potential sellers to help drive deal flow

What you bring:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Thorough knowledge of private equity markets and financial expertise
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
