POSITION:

As a Supervisor you will have an opportunity to truly invest in others and develop a people-focused leadership style, while mastering the tools, processes, and operations that created a fantastic online custom framing service that cares for your art from beginning to end.

As a Supervisor you will have the opportunity to assist the Operations Manager in leading and developing your team. The core of the job will be engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement are maintained. To achieve this, the Production Supervisor will ensure that their team of Team Leaders & Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the operations team on the shift, providing daily support on the operations floor

  • Act as a backup for other supervisory team members

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.

  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.

  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.

  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Other assignments directed by the Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 Year of Lead or Management Experience

  • Ability to work Night shifts, Monday through Thursday 8pm-6:30am

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels

  • Great work ethic and ability to motivate others

  • Team player who inspires and acts as a coach

  • Accept continuous improvement as a value of the organization and be responsible for identifying performance

  • Drive improvement in processes through Kaizen events that lead to improved performance.

  • Establish annual personal goals and objectives.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Expertise in leading an assembly operation.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to take direction on and implement continuous improvement activities.

  • Experience in a fast-paced consumer business.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient skills with computers and manufacturing related software.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
