Leidos Health and Civil Sector is seeking an experienced Process Excellence Lead who will act as the Process Excellence point of contact to support Continuous Improvement initiatives, partnering with our customer to guarantee methods consistency, prioritization and leverage the Process Excellence team bandwidth. You will be a central part of the organization and provide direction and leadership. Your expertise in process improvement and operational excellence will be critical in driving operational efficiencies, improving customer service, and creating organizational policies. You will have the opportunity to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to create and implement effective process improvement solutions.
Candidate MUST:
Be currently located in the United States for the current three consecutive years
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust level 4 clearance.
Candidates local to the DC Metro area preferred for onsite meetings, role will be primarily telecommute.
Responsibilities:
- Lead process improvement team and direct timely completion of projects that support critical goals and customer satisfaction requirements and serve as the point of contact for specific project initiatives and best practices.
- Process Design, Development, and Documentation:
- Mapping Processes: Document current support and operational processes in detail, including workflows, inputs, outputs, and interdependencies.
- Process Standardization: Develop standardized procedures to ensure consistency and reliability in service delivery.
- Best Practices: Research and incorporate industry best practices into process design to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Process Implementation:
- Change Management: Oversee the implementation of new processes or changes to existing processes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Training and Communication: Train staff on new or revised processes and ensure clear communication across all relevant teams.
- Tool Integration: Ensure that processes are well-supported by the appropriate tools and technologies, facilitating smooth execution and monitoring.
- Process Monitoring and Measurement:
- Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the performance of the team with relevance to process adherence which is a leading indicator.
- Continuous Monitoring: Regularly monitor processes to ensure they are functioning as intended and meeting performance targets.
- Audits and Reviews: Conduct periodic audits and reviews of processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead improvement initiatives by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams that deliver tangible business results through the application of Lean and Six Sigma principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Conduct thorough business process analysis to understand existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and determine areas for improvement. Develop and implement process improvement strategies, including the integration of new technologies and systems. Use data-driven approaches to validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of progressive business systems and project management experience.
- Minimum level of Process Excellence experience as a certified Black Belt (or equivalent) three to five years.
- Quantitative reasoning (demonstrated competence with math concepts and statistical tools; ability to understand and draw conclusions from facts and data).
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, as demonstrated by presentation of problems to appropriate people in an objective and non-judgmental manner; matching influence strategies to the situation; delivering oral and written communications with clarity and impact.
- Ability to train people on Problem Solving, Project Management basics and Lean basics.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
