About the Role:

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Tax Senior Specialist to ensure the smooth execution of Nissan’s tax operations in Egypt. This role is responsible for maintaining full compliance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations, ensuring timely and accurate tax submissions, and safeguarding the company’s financial and legal standing. The position also plays a key role in upholding Nissan’s reputation with governmental bodies and staying up to date with evolving tax legislation.

Main Responsibilities:

Tax Operations & Formalities

  • Prepare and submit monthly VAT reports and analyses in accordance with statutory deadlines.

  • Prepare and file Form 41 for withholding tax on time.

  • Prepare and process salary tax reports and ensure timely payment to the Tax Authority.

  • Handle advance tax payments and development charges to ensure timely settlement.

  • Record and manage all accounting entries related to taxes.

  • Participate in the calculation of income tax and deferred tax in line with updated laws and regulations.

  • Prepare all required documentation and reports for internal and external audits related to financial statements.

Tax Compliance & Government Relations

  • Prepare all documentation required for tax inspections to ensure full compliance with Egyptian tax laws.

  • Extract, review, and validate analyses needed for inspection purposes.

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accuracy and alignment before submission.

  • Represent Nissan before various tax authorities when needed, defending the company’s tax position and maintaining a positive corporate image.

  • Manage and resolve tax disputes and issues with governmental authorities.

  • Stay updated on changes in Egyptian tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • 3–5 years in tax operations, compliance, or related fields within the Egyptian jurisdiction.

  • Strong understanding of Egyptian tax laws, including Income Tax Law No. 91 (2005) and VAT Law No. 67 (2016).

  • Hands‑on experience with filing various tax returns and managing tax inspections.

  • SAP system proficiency is a must.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to work under time‑sensitive deadlines.

  • Excellent command of Arabic and English (spoken and written).
