Job Description:

Financial Reporting Analyst – Operating Participants (Order to Cash)

About the Role & Team

The Order to Cash (OTC) organization within Controllership plays a vital role in managing financial risk throughout the trade of goods and services. The team ensures accurate invoicing, effective collections, and proper application of payments.

Within OTC, the Participant Reporting Team prepares invoices for rent, operating, and maintenance fees, as well as taxes, in accordance with contractual agreements. The team also supports revenue disclosures, analyzes variances against prior periods and forecasts, and partners across OTC to mitigate risk and resolve outstanding balances.

 What You Will Do

The Financial Reporting Analyst (Operating Participants) is a key member of the Participant Reporting Team. This role manages a portfolio of Operating Participant accounts within Domestic Parks & Resorts, ensuring contractual obligations are met while maintaining strong external relationships. The Analyst provides accounting and reporting support, partners closely with the Operating Participants Department (OPD), Financial Reporting, and Receivables Reporting, and assists the department manager in analyzing financial metrics.

This role also provides indirect leadership by guiding and supporting the Guatemala-based team, helping overcome roadblocks, and ensuring alignment with process and reporting standards.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary liaison between Disney and third-party Operating Participants.
  • Process and analyze data from Participants and internal systems (SAP and related tools) to determine rents and reimbursements in accordance with agreements.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, including billings, receivables, collections, and dispute resolution.
  • Partner with OPD, Financial Reporting, and Receivables Reporting to review account status, contractual updates, and financial risk.
  • Assist the department manager in preparing and analyzing key performance metrics, including sales and rent comparisons, receivables aging, account status, and other financial insights.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date reporting requirements by preparing schedules and variance analyses.
  • Collaborate with Operating Participants to resolve outstanding balances, collect remittance notices, and clarify disputes.
  • Provide guidance to junior and offshore team members, supporting process consistency and helping to resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within OTC.
  • Perform the reconciliation of receivables, liabilities, and project accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Experience with the financial close process.
  • Proficiency in SAP and strong working knowledge of reporting/visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret variances and trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA license or Master’s in Accountancy.
  • Experience in revenue recognition, receivables, or contract compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore or remote teams.
