What You Will Do: 

As a leader within the Guidehouse Health segment, you will be responsible for growing a book of business, building trusted client relationships, and delivering impactful project results within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).  You will own the delivery of projects that aim to achieve equitable outcomes through high-quality, affordable, person-centered care. This role involves leadership of multi-year task orders and regular interaction with senior, executive-level clients to ensure the success of innovative new programs. The leader should have experience supporting CMS in a senior leadership capacity. You will be expected to oversee the development and delivery of all program work, ranging from alternative payment model design through implementation, evaluation, and learning and diffusion, as well as presenting well-organized, effective reports and presentations to clients. You will guide task order response proposal efforts and be expected to contribute to the growth of our existing portfolio. You will lead, coach, and mentor others on the team to ensure high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone with a passion for creative problem-solving, client service, and project management. 

Job Description/Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership and oversight of highly complex, multi-year awards and task orders with CMS aimed at achieving equitable outcomes through high-quality, affordable, person-centered care  

  • Use deep expertise of strategies and issues in value-based care financing, delivery, policy, and regulation at the Federal and State Level at a subject matter expert level to support CMS 

  • Collaborate with and effectively influence senior, executive-level clients to set shared strategies and priorities, implement programs effectively, and manage high-performing teams to ensure client satisfaction and results 

  • Oversee task order management activities, including response to request for proposals, project start-up, program and project management with a keen focus on risk management, compliance, and quality assurance to drive impactful results 

What You Will Need: 

  • Masters (required) or Doctoral (preferred) degree in health policy, health economics, health services research, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or related fields 

  • 10+ years of relevant industry, research, or consulting experience, excluding internships, co-ops, fellowships, and academic research (12+ years is strongly preferred)  

  • 5+ years of experience supporting public health-focused federal agencies (7+ years is strongly preferred)  

  • Experience working with CMS in a senior leadership capacity with value-based care and alternative payment models  

  • Experience leading Federal business pursuits and proposals with proven results 

  • Excellent program/project management skills with demonstrated experience leading large multi-disciplinary teams across a range of projects 

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships with senior executive clients 

  • Well-rounded leadership skills to provide strategic, analytical, and operational direction to teams

  • Ability to build business and lead large teams of interdisciplinary team members in a highly matrixed environment 

What Would Be Nice To Have: 

  • Experience working and collaborating with other leaders to pursue organic/add-on and cross-business opportunities with current and prospective clients 

  • Maintains strong existing relationships with CMS and other HHS leaders 

  • Strong understanding of econometric analytics 

  • Direct experience with CMS data
