Team/Role Overview
Operational Risk Management (ORM) is seeking to hire an Operational Risk Senior Vice President to support Functional Coverage of Centralised Operations with a focus on Know Your Client (KYC) Operations & Business Operations Shared Services, and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) filing units.
This role is part of the Second Line of Defence (2LOD) and is critical in providing independent oversight, assurance, and effective challenge to the bank’s ORM activities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of operational & compliance risk within the banking industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation. Key responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies, and providing strategic guidance on risk management initiatives.
This role requires a high level of proficiency in risk management practices, strong analytical skills, excellent communication (both written & verbal), and ability to think strategically. You will have a demonstrable ability to guide the business in delivering tangible results, fostering a culture of risk awareness across the organisation, and influencing senior business stakeholders.
