Position: Manager / Sr.Manager (Production)
Location: Shinoli, (Near Belgaum)
Education: BE / B.Tech. - Mechanical (8-12 years exp.) / DME (12-18 years exp.) worked in tool rooms
Position Overview:
The candidate will be fully responsible for factory operations and will be the Factory Manager. He will manage day-to-day production and general administrative activities. He will be reporting to the Managing Director of DME India and reported by all departments of factory. He will also manage the union.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Optimal utilization of all the equipment's, facilities and reporting personnel to meet the production targets and to achieve the departmental performance objectives.
2.Lead and manage the team of engineers and workmen effectively.
3.Manage the production of CNC Shop consisting of VMCs & HMCs and conventional machine shop.
4.Training engineers and operators to improve their effectiveness and efficiency and develop a team of well-trained employees.
5.Achieving desired quality in manufacturing processes and products.
6.Troubleshooting in day-to-day production activities on CNC machining centers.
7.Introduction of new techniques of CNC machining and advance cutting tools to optimize the product cycle time and cost.
8.Maintaining the health of equipment's and measuring instruments.
9.Maintain good housekeeping at the shop floor.
10.Maintain ISO 9001 system documentation on the production floor.
Skills:
1.Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute or DME.
2.Experienced in directly managing a skilled workforce in precision products manufacturing industry.
3.Hands on experience in operating CNC machines. Not afraid to operate hands-on, to lead by example – but understand that success comes through delegation.
4.Thorough understanding of CNC programs and ability to make alterations/modifications in programs as and when required quickly.
5.Hands-on experience in handling all types of inspection instruments.
6.Exposure in operating programming software like AutoCAD, Edgecam/Mastercam, Solid Works, etc.
7.Should have good knowledge of cutting tools used on CNC machining centers.
8.Exposure to lean principles like TPM, 5S, SMED, KAIZEN etc would be an added advantage.
9.Exposure in any kind of maintenance would be an added advantage.
10.Should be able to attend duty in shifts.
11.Experience of managing union activities will be an added advantage.
12.Should have computing skills including MS Office.
13.Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
14.Good oral and written communication.
15.Ability to understand and speak/read/write Marathi is a must and Hindi is preferable.
16.Leadership qualities that foster rapid bonding with a new team.
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
Candidates from NTTF / IGTR / GTDC would be preferred.
