Typical Accountabilities:
• Manage key external stakeholders such as banks, regulatory authorities and tax authorities
• Act as a business partner across relevant SET areas
• Mitigate business risk/realise the value of opportunities
• Lead key cross-SET Finance processes
• Establish and communicate Group Policy as appropriate
• Coach and deliver effective performance management to direct reports
• Define the scope and support the implementation of change initiatives to deliver performance improvement, risk reduction and enhance governance
• Liaise with internal functions and external stakeholders to enhance financial performance, risk management, governance and compliance
• Own external relationships with Service Providers to ensure performance managed effectively and sponsor changes to existing processes
• Develop the professional capability of the Finance team and financial understanding of non-finance managers
• Lead provision of in depth core technical training for the specialist finance team
• Manage a team of finance specialists
• Manage compliance with regulatory; governance and internal processes and procedures
• Have good understanding of business environment and relevant SET area strategy and how the Specialist Finance function strategy aligns with SET area and overall strategy

• Grandfather (manager of a manager)
What is the global remit? (how many countries will the role operate in?):
• 2 or 3 countries at a minimum of 40% of time
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Essential: MBA or other Finance/Business qualification; Extensive work experience in Finance Function; Qualified specialist finance professional; Significant post-qualification experience; Experience of working across a global organisation; In-depth understanding of regulatory/statutory requirements and governance principles/SOX; Experience of working with senior Management; Varied range of experiences in specialist Finance with specific expertise in related specialist area; Team leadership / management experience; Project Management
• Desirable: Specialist financial qualification to support general financial qualifications
