We are looking for an HR Partner for UK, to be based in Barry, and who will be part of the regional Labor Relations network and who will represent HR Function at country leadership team.
This person is responsible for the successful implementation of the people priorities aligned to business and function strategy and ensures compliance with local laws and regulations, working closely with country leader and site leaders.
The HR Partner helps guide leaders when making decisions. He or she delivers proactive guidance about managing the talent in the organization, identifies and partners with leaders to solve vulnerable spots in talent pipeline and develops and discuss strategies for difficult conversations. The main activities are as follows:
- Coaching to people leaders regarding talent conversations (career progression, promotions, development, performance gaps, etc.)
- Providing advice and consultation to the leaders and employees of assigned scope, having a comprehensive understanding of the people strategy for that population – business, function and geography
- Partnering with leaders to develop and drive people priorities for the client group
- Building leadership capability - Serves as a coach to leaders regarding talent actions, decisions and conversations (e.g., succession planning, talent reviews, team development, organization design, etc.)
- Consulting and advising leaders outside of the country with people related matters
- Understanding and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive the Voice, I&D and EX efforts based on country needs
- Being a change agent and advocate to increase HR and Dow digitalization efforts
- Supporting / reinforcing the HR model by connecting, redirecting and counseling leaders to a portfolio of HR solutions
- Ensuring talent initiatives integrate with the broader HR Strategy and enables the delivery of strategic and operational business plans to create a consistently great employee experience
- Knowing key talent and supporting the management of the relevant talent pipeline
- Delivering against our local legal requirements and maintaining/reinforcing the partnership with our employees representatives.
- Understanding and following labor legislation in the country and ensuring Dow's compliance to local labor legislation whenever a change occurs or whenever new programs/initiatives are introduced.
- Driving / supporting the Labor Relations at the sites together with the site and country leaders.
- participating in regional and global HR projects
- participating in internal/external events to showcase Dow's brand and representing Dow to external talents.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an HR Generalist. Profiles with an experience in other HR disciplines could be considered based on profile
- Strong client focus and employee experience mind-set
- Strong relationship, partnership and consultancy skills
- Comfortable pushing difficult perspectives, challenging and influencing
- Strong analytical orientation in support of organizational decisions
- Experience and Knowledge of labor legislation and labor relations
- Master’s degree in HR
- active user of Dow's digital platforms such as Workday, MS Teams, Service Now, etc.
- Fluent in English
