The TD Area Manufacturing Engineering Tactical Coordinators are responsible for leading the process area teams to mitigate area capacity risks and provide an operational corridor that enables development pace to meet program timelines and goals. This is enabled by identifying and handling the systemic issues for TD parts that enable the area-level tactical execution of overall business plan (cycle time, process duplication, q-time setup, area holds). This person is also responsible for reducing operational risk with efficient capital deployment via accurate risk assessments and decision-making partnering with their EDE/PD/ID1/IE counterparts. Lastly this person will be responsible for all aspects of tactical scenario capacity reviews and decision making for TD parts running in the Co-Located fab.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Safety & Quality
• Completes the required safety training and ensures all work is conducted in accordance with safety policies
• Improves safety behaviors and processes for their work environment through analyzing and sharing safety data
• Drives a safety culture by requiring safe behaviors and sets the example for safety
• Completes required follow-up on First Aid/OSHA events within required timelines
• Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues
Communication/Collaboration
• Build strong area-level accountability through clear and visible metrics on area operational and strategic performance partnering with the ID1 Manufacturing Engineering Team.
• Establishes and communicates performance targets and communicates line of sight goals to individual contributors.
• Partners with IS teams to ensure effective prioritization of improvement projects to support critical ODI roadmap items
• Collaborates with IE, ME, OI and the shift teams to ensure strategic and systemic tactical line optimization that meets operational commitments.
• Partners closely with EDE, PD and ID1 leaders to supervise workstation performance and effectively forecast systemic issues and build mitigation plans
• Represents ODI in cross-functional forums including presentations to TD leadership.
Fab Performance
• Identifies and solves systemic area issues impacting equipment throughput, human deviation, and cycle time
• Drives innovation by researching, creating, and deploying new area operational management techniques and tools
• Leads team to provides analysis of data, highlights key trends and issues, and identifies potential solutions for area issues.
• Partners with EDE, ID1, PD, IE and ODI peers to reduce operational risk due to efficient capital deployment through accurate risk assessments and decision-making.
• Team creates, implements and analyzes tactical operations scenarios to understand workstation capacity impacts and approve or reject changes of the tactical execution relative to the business plan. Leader must provide oversight and accountability to these scenario decisions.
• Responsible for TD impacting long term down business process and approval of down times greater than 5 days within the fab.
Project Management/Planning
• Responsible for leading the TD Tactical Capacity Scenario process, collecting PD inputs, assessing impact to TD or ID1 workstations together with ID1 partners and giving a go/no-go/go with tradeoff decision on the scenario.
• Prioritizes projects that meet R&D goals of increasing the pace of cycles of learning and meeting key business objectives
• Represent TD OPS in QPOD reviews that align the responsible groups within an area of the operational plans, risks, and mitigations. Reviews, adjusts, and improves QPOD formats and communications over time.
• Drives projects to ensure that work is completed within the required timeframe
Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of Fab manufacturing experience is required.
• Sophisticated knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process flow, general fab flow, and area processing equipment.
• Confirmed ability to lead teams and set short and long term visions
• Proven track record driving projects and initiatives to successful outcomes
• Demonstrated skill in mentoring and coaching team members
• Strong conflict management and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to come up with innovative ideas
• Demonstrable ability to communicate and present effectively
• Intermediate PC skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint
• Confirmed ability to collect and accurately interpret data
• Ability to make sound decisions independently and to optimally prioritize multiple tasks
• Proven strong partnering and team building skills
• Proven track record troubleshooting problems and addressing root causes
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in defining and implementing training and development initiatives
• Advanced knowledge of Fab MES, capacity planning, floor scheduling, and line management systems
Education and Experience
BS or equivalent experience.
