As a Product Manager Lead you will drive the journey of defining and discovering the decomposition of high-level business outcomes into valuable strategies and viable software solutions. You will develop a deep relationship with users and stakeholders to understand and pressure-test customer needs, opportunities, and technology capabilities, then translate them into a compelling and scalable product experience.   You will inspire and lead teams by putting forth a product vision.  You will help to define customer experiences in the form of features and functionality.  You develop multiple product roadmaps to meet the defined vision, working across teams to act as the voice of the business to ensure that priorities are consistently understood across dependent applications.   You will measure product and business metrics to understand their customers’ ongoing needs, increase adoption, and drive business value.  Your team will collaborate with portfolio managers, engineers, designers, researchers, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and tools to drive better decisions with Capital Group’s investment process.

I am the right person Capital Group is looking for:

  • You possess 7 to 10 years’ experience in the development and launch of software products, inclusive of strategy, roadmap, and execution.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related fields.  Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • You have a track record of developing and coaching Product talent.
  • You are highly analytical and passionate about deep product discovery, with experience leading lightweight, iterative experiments to validate, test, and learn, with the goal of ensuring that we “build the right thing.”
  • You are a dynamic and inspiring leader capable of creating excitement around a compelling product vision.
  • You have developed technology-driven products, ideally within the wealth management and/or FinTech space and have a high level of financial acumen.
  • You are comfortable engaging with highly sophisticated investors.
  • You have an aptitude for collaborating with and talking to technical and creative partners, including IT, Design, Operations, etc., and have led teams in the past.
  • You can build relationships and influence business leaders on strategic business matters concerning product development and design.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to drive product roadmap and design to enhance client experience.
  • You thrive in ambiguous settings where you help define what success looks like.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $166,551-$266,482

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
