In this exciting Manufacturing Engineering II role, you will be part of the dedicated, experienced, and high-performing team supporting Rechargeable, Pacing and Diagnostic (RPD) batteries at the Medtronic Energy and Component Center (MECC) in Brooklyn Center, MN. At this facility, we design, develop, and manufacture components used in Medtronic medical devices. In this role you will gain experience with advanced manufacturing processes and equipment, supporting the manufacturing of batteries for medical devices such as pacemakers, neurostimulators, and deep-brain stimulators. You will be a key member of the operations team, ensuring optimal equipment performance to support daily production as well as driving improvements to support manufacturing stability.
This role is 100% onsite at our Brooklyn Center, MN manufacturing site.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Requires a Bachelors degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years experience.
Nice to Have
Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Work experience with the following: FDA Quality System Regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ISO 13485, ISO 9001 standards or equivalent.
