We are inviting you to join one of our General Ledger Accounting Teams and ensure that accounting standards are maintained in compliance with accounting policies. As GL Accountant you will be preparing financial reports, analyzing key trends and variances, and creating clear and concise narratives.

If you are detail-oriented, able to see the big picture, and interested in joining an international team to share and learn the best practices of General Ledger Accounting, this is the place for you!

What you will be responsible for:

• Performing analysis and preparing commentary for close and period-end reporting and supporting with preparation and filing of statutory accounts

• Reviewing monthly/quarterly balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations, and ensuring they are done in a timely manner and in accordance with the accounting policy

• Ensuring compliance with internal policies throughout all areas of accounting

• Managing routine journals and preparing exceptional journals within the Balance Sheet account

• Managing fixed Asset Accounting, including Transfer and Split Asset Accounting

• Mentoring and approving the work of Junior Accountants in Sri Lanka

About you:

• 2+ years of experience in the field of accounting

• Good knowledge and understanding of Close & Period End Reporting, Balance Sheet Account reconciliations, and General Ledger Accounting

• Advanced English language skills

• Good communication skills: the ability to clearly articulate expectations and outcomes with various levels of management, both in Finance and Business

Salary ranges from 2200 to 3000 euro gross depending on your experience.
