The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Middleware Lead to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable enterprise applications. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on middleware technologies within a banking environment. The lead will guide a team, ensure best practices, and contribute to the architectural vision.
Responsibilities
This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient software systems using Java FS.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and scripts.
• Writing clean, efficient, well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing code and applications.
• Collaborating with team members to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Integrating third-party APIs and libraries into applications.
• Ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
• Lead the design and development of Java-based applications, focusing on middleware components.
• Oversee the integration of front-end and back-end services.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to define technical strategies and solutions.

Specific development tasks include:
• 5-10 years of experience in Java full-stack development, with significant middleware expertise.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React).
• Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
• Backend Development: Writing and maintaining server-side code for web applications and software.
• Code Design and Implementation: Designing application frameworks, creating scalable and efficient code, and building backend components.
• Debugging and Testing: Identifying and resolving bugs, testing code for responsiveness and efficiency, ensuring software quality.
• API Development: Creating and maintaining APIs for communication between application components or systems.
• Integration: Connecting Python applications with other web services and external systems.
• Performance Optimization: Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks to ensure application responsiveness and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Working with front-end developers, system engineers, and team members to deliver a complete product.
• Software Maintenance: Improving existing systems, implementing security measures, and addressing feature requests.
