What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will lead workforce transformation efforts for the Department of Homeland Security. The Senior Consultant will perform workforce assessments and develop transformation strategies under the direction of a Managing Consultant to foster adoption of workforce related changes including revised hiring, retention, performance management, and workforce development processes among other functions. 

What You Will Need:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • THREE (3) or more years of experience related to the workforce lifecycle or workforce assessment or workforce development or workforce planning or workforce management or performance management and/or  talent management or human resources


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience supporting the development workforce assessment approaches, tools, and templates, inducing stakeholder interview questionnaires, surveys, and focus group guides.
  • Experience supporting the execution of stakeholder interviews, including facilitating interviews and/or documenting the outcomes of interviews in notes and meeting minutes.
  • Experience supporting the analysis of qualitative data using techniques including thematic coding.
  • Experience supporting the analysis of quantitative data using basic descriptive statistics.  
  • Experience supporting the development of workforce related initiatives to address assessment findings. This may include, but not be limited to, hiring, retention, performance management, and workforce development
  • Experience supporting stakeholder analyses and the development of stakeholder engagement approaches and initiatives
  • Experience supporting the development of change management and communications strategies and accompanying implementations plans
  • Experience supporting the development of multi-channel communications products for communicating with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience supporting the development metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of change and communications initiatives and activities
  • Experience preparing for and leading internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and leadership briefings
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent assignments while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products
  • Experience supporting the preparation of a wide range of briefing materials and concise summaries of assessments, evaluations, and plans communicate program status and progress to senior leaders
  • Experience serving as a workstream lead, overseeing the work of less experienced staff, providing direction, and issuing verbal and written feedback on work products
  • Knowledge of Federal human capital operations, policies and programs
  • Experience supporting DHS HQ and/or its Components
  • DHS public trust clearance
