About the Role:

We are looking to hire an Analyst of Structured Solutions for our Capital Markets team. The role will be located in New York City. This Analyst or Manager will be responsible for helping to expand and diversify Upgrade’s funding channels across all five of our credit products - Personal Loan, Card, Home Improvement, Indirect Auto, and BNPL Travel. The role will have high visibility within the organization to the executive team and senior leadership. 

The position reports directly to the Head of Capital Markets Structured Solutions and will be based in New York City. We are looking for a candidate who is highly driven, resourceful, and will thrive in fast-paced environments. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Create innovation capital markets solutions to expand Upgrade’s investor base
  • Analyze securitization transactions to optimize structure and maximize proceeds
  • Partner with credit, legal, and finance teams to maintain best-in-class investor experience
  • Identify new capital opportunities with institutional investors, leverage providers, ratings agencies, and banks
  • Own communications with prospective investors on collateral performance, product developments, portfolio analytics, and marketing materials
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of investor documents including all legal and structural matters related to forward flow, warehouse, or securitization transactions
  • Maintain CRM to assist in the development of Upgrade’s strategic initiatives
  • Advise leadership on investor sentiment and market color for strategic decision-making 
  • Represent Upgrade at investor conferences and in-person meetings

 

What We Look For:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in capital markets or structured finance
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, and Salesforce; SQL experience a plus
  • Experience with consumer lending or adjacent credit portfolios
  • Ability to identify and prioritize opportunities that align with Upgrade’s funding needs
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple product lines
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a strong client service orientation
  • Self motivated and resourceful, able to identify tasks, work independently, and manage timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience analyzing large data sets preferred
  • Willingness to travel - 6 to 8 conferences per year
  • Bachelor’s degree required

The compensation range of this position in New York City is USD $110,000-120,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
